When Motherhood Cracks You Open: New Podcast Alert
I recently sat down for a podcast interview with Brittany Ford from Biohacking with Brittany. During our conversation she said something so many women who have come to me have said before:
I never meditated before. I didn’t see the need. And then I had a baby; and it cracked me open.
She spoke about how motherhood brought her to her knees in the most beautiful way. How it stripped away the illusion of control and forced her into presence…not because she wanted to meditate, but because she had to breathe to stay centered.
I felt that so deeply.
Because that’s often how awakening happens: not in stillness or on a retreat, but in the middle of life’s chaos. When everything you thought you knew stops working. When you can’t hold it all together the way you used to.
Presence isn’t always peaceful. Sometimes it’s born from exhaustion, surrender, or a love so big it rearranges who you are.
Brittany and I talk about how motherhood, and really any life transition, asks us to come home to ourselves in a new way.
Because it’s not about balance. It’s about being here. Fully. Even when it’s messy.

P.S. If you’ve been moving through your own version of this: motherhood, relationships, identity crisis, SHIFT with Jamie will help you return to yourself. That’s where the magic begins.
