New Moon in Cancer

For the last year, we have been on a journey to move into a larger apartment in NYC.

We love where we live now, but we outgrew it once we had Porter.

There is sadness and a bit of fear  that comes with releasing the place we’ve called home for the last 11 years, but on the other side of that is something expansive and exciting.

But in order to get there, we have to be willing to be a little uncomfortable and uncertain in the in between.

The New Moon in Cancer highlights themes of home, whether that is a physical space, a person, a feeling or even our own bodies.

Cancer is symbolized by the Crab, which is constantly outgrowing its shell and moving into a new one.

And there is a time in between when it is without a shell and without a home.

We are often in a state of in between.

Moving from one version of ourselves to another, one home to another.

This New Moon is asking us to set intentions and plant seeds for what we want to see and feel for ourselves in the future.

And it’s asking us to step into the unknown in order for a more aligned life to begin to take shape.

What makes working with the moons in The Illumination so powerful is that the seasonally curated meditations bring you through an experience that allows you to know yourself better and understand how you are processing things.

It doesn’t give you the answers to life’s questions, but it helps you find them.

Because as we know, it’s not about the meditation itself - it’s about what happens after.

How we live and the butterfly effect of what happens when we know ourselves and live from a place of aligned and inspired action.

Even in the discomfort.

You may find yourself feeling more emotional and sensitive right now.

You may also find yourself wanting to be more nurturing to those around you.

The New Moon in Cancer asks that you tap into quietude and remember that your relationship with yourself is the most important one you have.

And to turn some of your energy inward.

But because of the way the world is right now, it’s hard to truly be able to hear yourself through all the external noise.

This is the time to get clear on who you are and what you want, and to start looking forward, past the uncomfortable and into the dream.

Allow yourself to connect with all the different possibilities and let the energy of the New Moon in Cancer light the way forward in my monthly moon workshop membership, The Illumination, which can be found herhere.
