On August 8, the Lion's Gate Portal peaks. This cosmic alignment of Earth with the star Sirius, our spiritual sun, opens a doorway to your Future Self. It's not just a moment to feel inspired, it's a portal for realignment, to remember who you were before fear, before doubt, before you decided you had to shrink to be safe.
Leo rules this portal. Ruled by the Sun, it's about heart, confidence, and creative expression.
Then on August 9, the Full Moon in Aquarius arrives to clear what is in the way.
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet of disruption and liberation. This Moon is not here to keep you comfortable, it is here to align you with what is real. It shakes what needs to be shaken. It asks you to release the past, even if it has become your identity. It challenges you to stop pretending it still fits.
The shadow of Leo performs to be loved, it seeks validation over truth. It shines from the ego instead of the soul. It takes up space, not from purpose, but from the fear of being unseen. It would rather be admired than be authentic.
The shadow of Aquarius hides in disconnection. It chooses logic over feeling. It can become cold, it stays distant to avoid vulnerability. It protects itself by staying above it all, even if that means staying alone.
This Full Moon sits on the Leo/Aquarius axis. It reveals the tension between your individual truth and your collective role. Between your heart and your higher mind. Between who you have been and who you are becoming.
And it does not let you bypass your vulnerability. It asks for emotional honesty. You cannot think your way through this one, you have to feel it. You have to sit with the version of you that is still afraid of becoming who you really are.
