New Years' 40 Day Meditation to Learn the Lessons of the Past

The beginning of the year is a great time to reflect.  For me, today is about meditating and journaling. The start of the year is the perfect time to start a new habit. Yogi Bhajan says practicing every day for 40 days straight will break any negative habits that block you from the expansion possible through the kriya or mantra.

I am in love with Kirtan Kriya in general, and the Cross-Heart version is extra special. I find it to be incredibly clearing and peaceful.  This meditation works on The Negative Mind,  The Negative Mind is there to protect us, but when it is too loud, it can stop us from moving forward and taking action.  When The Negative Mind is too quiet, we can find ourselves repeating mistakes of the past.  This is a great meditation for bringing The Negative Mind into balance.  You will be able to learn quickly from your past, and see new ways to clean it up and avoid repeating the same lessons.  I am going to add this meditation to my daily meditation for the next 40 days.  I invite you to do this along with me and let me know how it goes!

"The Hemispheres will balance; the past will be processed and dumped; and insecurity will vaporize." Yogi Bhajan

I will start by being in a sacred space, for me that is by my Altar.  Next, I  will light my candle and my incense and sit quiet for a Moment.  Then I will begin...

I created an audio file that will include tuning in, a quick basic spine series warm up and then 11 minutes of Cross Heart Kirtan Kriya, followed by 3 minutes of the Gong.  There will be music and I will be calling out all the cues.  You can listen to the audio below.

TUNING IN

“Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo” said three times. Ong Namo: I  bow to the Creative Wisdom, Guru Dev Namo: I bow to the Divine Teacher within.

WARM UP-BASIC SPINE

  1. Quick WARM UP of Basic Spine Flex. Come into Easy Pose (a comfortable cross-legged sitting position). Inhale as you lift the chest up high and tilt the pelvis forward. Then exhale, round the lower back, and rock the pelvis back. Remember to lift the chest up high on each inhale and keep the chin level to the ground in both positions.

  2. This is good to lubricate the spine, and move the energy. It adjusts the spine, strengthens the nervous and reproductive systems, and brings the emotions into balance. It is not part of the meditation, but beneficial to warm up the spine.

JOURNALING

After you finish the meditation, I invite you to put on THIS PLAYLIST  As you listen, reflect upon 2018. What were some of the lessons you learned from things that might have turned out differently than you had wanted. When were there times that you had wished you could have reacted differently. And continue to go through all the things that no longer serve you from 2018 and then spend the remainder thinking about all that you want to call in to replace those habits, people, thoughts, beliefs, etc…. Get as detailed as you can as you write all of this out. After that, start to think and write about what are some of the things that you could do starting today to move closer to what you want to call in. Get clear and specific. Take your time…

Happy New Year, may 2019 be filled with happiness, joy, good health, abundance, compassion and love.

If you are looking for a little extra help with making 2019 a year beyond your wildest dreams, Book a One on One Session with me! Looking forward to connecting!

The Last Full Moon Ritual of the Year

Please note, while it is great to do this with the Full Moon, you can really start ANYTIME, so don't make excuses why you can't start TODAY!

Here we are, at the last Full Moon of 2018. This has been a very intense year, to say the least. We are so lucky to end it with the Full Moon in Cancer. The energy of this Full Moon is not only about releasing, but also about allowing to bring in what you truly desire. It is said to be a moon of infinite possibilities.

As I have said before, I am not an astrologer, but I am very connected to the moon cycles, and the more I pay attention, the more things start to flow.  When you do rituals with the moon cycles, you have the pull of the sky on your side.  This month with Cancer, we have extra help in truly leaving all the things we no longer wish to carry on in 2018 and bringing to us all that we desire in 2019.  It is a time for getting honest, getting clear and taking action.

Image Juice It, Blend It Live It- John Van Pamer

Image Juice It, Blend It Live It- John Van Pamer

So, for this full moon, I invite you to take some time and go in. Sitting by your Altar, or a place where you have privacy, get out your crystals, light your candle and incense and begin. I recorded a meditation with a journal prompt to help you focus on what you are ready to release and what you are ready to bring in. You can use the recording and if you want to continue to journal, you can use the full playlist I made HERE

Use  two different pages for what you are releasing(A) and what you are choosing to bring in the new year(B).

When you're done, look through your A list and write out 3 steps you can take to let go of some of those things before the end of the year. Get detailed. Then look at B list and do the same thing. What are three small steps you could take to bring any of what your wrote forward for 2019. You can keep going with this, every time you take action steps, write down more you can take. You’ll start to notice that small little steps are actually where all the big change actually takes place.

When you are done, take out your crytslas and you clearer of choice and repeat out loud the things that you will let go of and follow it up with what you will put in its’place.

For this entry, I won't burn or though away the journal entry, as I may get inspired to revisit and add more steps to release throughout the year.  It will also be a nice thing to look back on for the next Full Moon...

Please  let me know how it goes!

If you’re ready to really let go of all that is holding you back and want a little extra help, I would love to see you in New York City in person, or virtually anywhere Schedule a time here. Looking forward to connecting!

New Moon in Sagittarius - The Last New Moon of the Year [Audio + Playlist]

New Moon

“Learn to call on yourself. Learn to be yourself. Learn to vibrate. That's one good thing we can all do. Then God will bless you in every field, whatever your field is.” –Yogi Bhajan

As I have written before, the new moons are often associated with new beginnings. It is a great time to think about the things you want to bring into your life. The things you want to focus on. This is also the last New Moon in the year, and it is a perfect time to start to plant the seeds for the upcoming New Year.

We are fortunate to have Sagittarius and Jupiter helping us with this precious time. Simply put, the planets are on our side to go after all that we have wanted. There is endless possibility in our planets right now! If you want to go deeper in understanding the planets, you can read more HERE and HERE

We can often get caught up in that idea that we can’t do the thing that we want. Others can have it, but we can’t. It can feel impossible to live the life of our dreams. With the power of the New Moon, I am going to do the Kundalini Meditation Gan Puttee Kriya: The Kriya to Make the Impossible Possible. I would love for you to join me.

Journaling Exercise

First lets start with a journaling exercise. Focus on what you want to make happen with the rest of the year. What seeds do you want to plant? What have you been letting the fear stop you? You can listen to this Playlist

I like to have all of my New Moon intentions in their own journal. I write down, in my handwritting, what it is I want to bring forth each New Moon. I then reflect and adjust it each month. I take note of all the progress I have made towards those goals from the previous New Moon. This helps to build my strenght and confidence. We often focus on all that we haven’t done, but this is a good time to focus on what you have done..

Photo A Wild Dove

With your crystals, candle and incense lit, start journaling, while listen to the Play List .  Take your time.  Reflect.  Think about what has been standing in your way, and see yourself moving it.  Then start focusing on all that you want to bring in.  You can do this is any way that feels comfortable. This can be lists, descriptions, anything that gets you into the feeling of what you want to bring forth.  Get excited about all that is coming.

How have you been showing up for what you want? What are the things you said you wanted at the beginning of the year and have yet to make happen? Have you been able to take steps towards it? And tke note of the things that you have done. Allow yourself to feel the victories of what you are already done.

When you are done, take out your Palo Santo or Sage and start cleansing yourself and your crystals. I start with myself and the move onto my crystals, and then back to myself.  Starting  at my feet and swirling in the smoke.  Releasing what isn’t needed and soaking up all the energy that is supporting my growth for the next few months. .

“Prayer is the power of God in you. You don’t have to do prayer to the outside, you do prayer from the inside.” –Yogi Bhajan

Full Moon in Gemini Ritual + Meditation[Audio File + Journal Prompt]

The Full Moon is the perfect time for reflection.   Go in and go in deep...Release.

Please note, while it is great to do this with the Full Moon, you can really start ANYTIME, so don't make excuses why you can't start TODAY!

As we draw closer to the end of the year, I can feel myself not only begining to reflect on all that has transpired during this past year, but also some of the things that I want to create in the new year. The Full Moon in Gemini, brings alot of clarity to help see what we have birthed and what we want to birth in the future. The Full Moon can help show us what we might want to let go of and what we want to bring in to the upcoming year.

This Full Moon has a bit of an intense energy that might feel challenging and harsh, but this is necessary to bring light on what you need and what you don’t. Full moons bring light to things we often don’t want to see, but it is in the witnessing of our challenges that we can learn and grow the most.

Allow yourself to truly feel all that you have been trying to avoid. There might have been a whispering that you have been trying to ignore for a bit, listen to it, learn from it and allow it to help you soar. Remember, almost all of what we are most proud of and our happiest moments, are often proceeded by a moment of pain and discomfort. Allow yourself to feel it and let it move you to rise.

Rituals
Tonight, as usual I'm going to start by creating a sacred space.  For me, that is by my Altar, with all my crystals, which many of you might have already seen on this Instagram Post .  I will light incense and a candle.

Below is a guided meditation to put you in a state of self hypnosis and then you it will lead into a journaling prompt. We will work with the mantra Ardas Bahee.

“ Ardas Bahee is a mantra prayer. If you sing it, your mind, body and soul automatically combine and without saying what you want, the need of the life is adjusted. That is the beauty of this prayer.” — Yogi Bhajan

With this mantra, project out your prayer with the help of the strength of the navel. This mantra calls upon the third Sikh Guru, Guru Amar Das, and the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, to answer one's prayers. The literal meaning of this mantra, in the words of Yogi Bhajan is:

PHOTO A WILD DOVE

“The prayer has gone out. Guru Amar Das hears the prayer; and Guru Ram Das confirms it and is the true guarantee that it is accepted.” (3ho)

When you are done, start palo santo or saging yourself.  Start at your feet and swirl in the smoke of the sage. Then you can move to clearing your crystals. Releasing it all. Possibly saying out loud to yourself:

I am releasing (insert whatever came up for you during the journaling). Repeating it slowly and feeling yourself release as you let the smoke cover your energy.  End at the crown , above the head.

Now, some people will burn the journal entry, some will rip it up and soak it in water, some people flush it, and some people keep it.  Do what feels best for you.

I like to let my crystals sit outside for a minimum of 24 hours…This can be outside or by a window. When you take them back in, they will have the power of you letting go. They will have released what you put into them.

Above, is just what I do, but feel free to tweak it and make it your own.  Tap into what feels good for you.

Please note, the energy of the full moon is not just on the actual full moon, so if you can't do it tonight, don't you fret, you have 3 days before and after...

If you enjoy the ritual and meditations that I share, I invite you to join me and a small group of like minded souls to go a little deeper. Holidays can be stressful and I thought it was a perfect time to offer a little more support and guidance. This will be a very small group (there are only a few spots left) and everyone will have the opportunity to be heard from. This is not something you will want to miss. And for Black Friday you can get 20% off by using code GRATEFUL on the group.

If you’re ready to unblock and release patterns that have been holding you back and want a little extra guidance, I would love to see you in New York City in person, or virtually anywhere Schedule a time here. Looking forward to connecting!

3 Kundalini Meditations I Love [Audio Files + Playlists Included]

Image A Wild Dove

I am often asked what is the best Kundalini meditation to start with and so I thought I would take the time to combine my 3 of my favorites.

I suggest you try all 3, and then pick 1 or more and continue on for 40 days. Don’t Skip a day. I feel it is the most powerful to do it first thing in the morning, but do it when it is best for YOU. I just say, complete it before midnight each day.

Each audio file will lead you through the instructions, tune you in and call you out. So don’t worry about picking up all the instructions in the writings. The written meditations and pictures are all from 3ho.org and KRI

If your Sadhana is more important to you than your neuroses, you are fine. If your neuroses are more important to you than your Sadhana, you are not.

Kundalini Yoga Meditation: Dealing with Your Own Mind

Originally taught by Yogi Bhajan on January 9, 1998

Posture:Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Breath: Close off your right nostril with your right thumb and inhale deeply through your left nostril. Exhale completely through your mouth.

Image 3HO

Time: Continue for 6 minutes.

To End: Inhale deeply, interlace your fingers and stretch them over your head palms up. Hold your breath for 10-15 seconds while you stretch your spine upward. Exhale and relax.

Mind is a link between Infinity and you. When the soul got the body, the soul asked God, 'What is my link with you, my Lord?' And God said, 'Mind.'

Mind can take you into any thought, beyond thought, and unto Infinity. Mind can take you into any dungeon, any pit, and any negativity. Mind has no limit in its own self. But mind is your servant. If the mind becomes your master, you don't have a chance. It is very essential in yoga that we know our own mind.

Meditation for Invoking the Wealth of The Universe: Sobagh Kriya

This was the first Kundalini Meditation I taught and it was to Gabby Bernstein’s Level 2 Coaching students. They all loved it and still write to me telling me how much they enjoyed it and how much it changed their relationship with prosperity!

The audio file, includes music and the cues for when to switch meditations...Enjoy!

The audio file starts with TUNING IN

Then a 3 minute WARM UP of cat cow going as fast as you can.  This is good to lubricate the spine, and move the energy.  It adjusts the spine, strengthens the nervous and reproductive systems, and brings the emotions into balance. It also helps to move energy up the spine to the upper Chakras to enhance meditation. It is one of the most common things to do during morning mediation, to wake up your spine and your Kundalini energy, for vitality all day long.

MANTRA Mentally Inhale SAT Exhale NAM at the end, inhale hold stretching the chest up, exhale, round the back. Go to child's pose, far head and arms on the mat, hands in prayer pose stretched above the head

The cat cow is not part of the mediation, but a nice way to warm up. I will also call out when it is time to change.  Please feel free to email with any questions.

SOBAGH KRIYA MEDITATION

This is a five-part kriya. Each part must be practiced for an equal amount of time, either 3 minutes or 11 minutes. Do not exceed 11 minutes. Only Meditation #1 can be practiced on its own, separately from the other exercises. Practice this for 40 days and do not miss a day.

This is a complete set. It is called Sobagh Kriya.

“If there is a misfortune written by the will of God, by doing this set you will make it into good fortune. I'm not saying "man-made." I'm saying if God Himself has written that you shall live under misfortune, by doing Sobagh Kriya you can tum your misfortune into prosperity, good fortune, and good luck.” Yogi Bhajan

KIRTAN KRIYA (Sa Ta Na Ma Meditation)

This is often what I suggest to most people to start with. You can feel the difference in your nervous system immediately! I made an audile file that includes calling you in, and taking you out,  You will follow along with the song, saying it out loud at first, then whisper, then silent, then whisper, then out loud.

This meditation brings a total mental balance to the individual psyche. Vibrating on each fingertip alternates the electrical polarities. The index and ring fingers are electrically negative, relative to the other fingers. This causes a balance in the electromagnetic projection of the aura. Practicing this meditation is both a science and an art. It is an art in the way it molds consciousness and in the refinement of sensation and insight it produces. It is a science in the tested certainty of the results each technique produces.

Posture: Sit straight in Easy Pose.

Eyes: Meditate at the Brow Point.

Mantra: Produce the five primal sounds (panj shabd): S, T, N, M, A, in the original word form:

SAA: Infinity, cosmos, beginning

TAA: Life, existence

NAA: Death, change, transformation

MAA: Rebirth

Each repetition of the entire mantra takes 3 to 4 seconds. This is the cycle of Creation. From the Infinite comes life and individual existence. From life comes death or change. From death comes the rebirth of consciousnes to the joy of the Infinite through which compassion leads back to life.

ImAGE FROM 3HO

ImAGE FROM 3HO

IMAGE FROM 3HO.ORG

Mudra: This mantra can be done in many different mudras. Most common is to begin in Gyan Mudra. The elbows are straight while chanting, and the mudra changes as each fingertip touches in turn the tip of the thumb with firm pressure.

On SAA, touch the first (Jupiter) finger.

On TAA, touch the second (Saturn) finger.

On NAA, touch the third (Sun) finger.

On MAA, touch the fourth (Mercury) finger.

Chant in three languages of consicousness:

Human: normal or loud voice (the world)

Lovers: strong whisper (longing to belong)

Divine: mentally; silent (Infinity)

To End: Follow with one 1 minute of stretching the arms over your head and spreading the fingers wide, shaking them out, circulating the energy, inhaling and exhaling 3 times. Relax.

Comments: Each time the mudra is closed by joining the thumb with a finger, the ego “seals” the effect of that mudra in the consciousness. The effects are as follows:

1st finger: Gyan Mudra Knowledge

2nd finger: Shuni Mudra Wisdom, intelligence, patience

3rd finger: Surya Mudra Vitality, energy of life

4th finger: Buddhi Mudra Ability to communicate

Instead of waiting for New Years to ask yourself the big questions, have you ever wondered what would happen if you didn't wait? What if you could describe yourself instead asrefreshed, grounded, light, and resilient? If you had all the tools that helped you to no longer have the Sunday Scaries? What if you started to feel these things nowAsk yourself

  • Are destructive emotions and negative energies holding you back from living each day in peace, passion, and love?

  • Do tensions, thoughts, and emotions make every day feel like an emotional rollercoaster you'd like to step off of?

  • Do you want tools that you can always turn to to take your thoughts in the right direction?

Meditation for Eliminating Anxiety

Jamie-graber.jpg

As I started to record the meditation for this upcoming Full Moon, it quickly turned into a meditation to help with anxiety.. As I have said before, Full Moons can bring light on things that we are trying to keep hidden. Things we don’t normally see, or even allow ourselves to see. Often around Full Moons, more people will reach out and come see me to help with their anxiety. They notice that the full moon can often make their anxiety feel heightened.

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”

Albert Einstein

Anxiety often happens because we are either re-experiencing something that happened in the past, or we are fearful about something that might happen in the future. One of the best ways to get ourselves out of the spin, is to get firmly grounded in the present.

I created the below meditation, to get you deeply in the body and able to relax. Allow your mind to stop wandering and instead fully feel your body. Get present in what you are physically feeling in your body.

You can do this meditation anywhere and anytime.

Once we are grounded, we can often look at ourselves, our stories, our worries with a different perspective. Now take out your journal and just start to go in. You can use this PLAYLIST See what is coming up for you.  What is that version of your story are you ready to release?  How can you see your situations that are causing you anxiety differently?  You can use this playlist whenever you want to calm your mind. Allow the mantras to soothe you.

Once you have completed the journal portion, you are ready to clear your crystals, which you can do with Palo Santo, Sage, Sound, dirt, water etc... For a quick lesson on clearing and crystals check out my Instagram Highlights and click on the one for Clearing. To get more information check out THIS VIDEO where we talk about crystals, moons and clearing...

Setting Your Intentions- Making the Impossible Possible

Jamie Graber Meditation

“Never Trust Your Fears; They Do Not Know YOUR Strength” ~Athena Singh

As I have written before, the new moons are often associated with new beginnings. It is a great time to think about the things you want to bring into your life. The things you want to focus on.  In this particular New Moon in Libra, there is a focus on relationships (I am sure you have been reading about Venus going retrograde). How are you showing in relationships? And most importantly, how have you been showing up in your relationship with yourself? This of course is the most important relationship of all.

There are less than 3 months left in the year, how have you been showing up for what you want? What are the things you said you wanted at the beginning of the year and have yet to make happen? Have you been able to take steps towards it? Are there areas where you are being dishonest with yourself? Are you allowing your fears and doubts getting in the way of creating what you want? Is the voice of your fears louder than the voice of your trust?

We can often get caught up in that idea that we can’t do the thing that we want. Others can have it, but we can’t. It can feel impossible to live the life of our dreams. With the power of the New Moon, I am going to do the Kundalini Meditation Gan Puttee Kriya: The Kriya to Make the Impossible Possible. I would love for you to join me.

First lets start with a journaling exercise. Focus on what you want to make happen with the rest of the year. You still have 3 months. What do you want to get down? What have you been letting the fear stop you? You can listen to this Playlist

When you are done, take out your Palo Santo or Sage and start cleansing yourself and your crystals. I start with myself and the move onto my crystals, and then back to myself.  Starting  at my feet and swirling in the smoke.  Releasing what isn’t needed and soaking up all the energy that is supporting my growth for the next few months. .

Playlist Mantras for Journaling

It will have 3 different Mantras. The first two are explained below and the final will be part of the Kundalini Meditation.

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo (the Adi Mantra)

I bow to the Creative Wisdom, I bow to the Divine Teacher within.

Adi Shakti

This devotional mantra (a Bhakti mantra), invokes the primary Creative Power which is manifest as the feminine. It calls upon the Mother Power.

It will help you to be free of the insecurities which block freedom of action. By meditating on it one can obtain a deeper understanding of the constant interplay between the manifest and the unmanifest qualities of the cosmos and consciousness.

Mantra:

Adi Shakti Adi Shakti Adi Shakti, Namo Namo

Sarab Shakti Sarab Shakti Sarab Shakti, Namo Namo

I bow to the Primal Power.

I bow to the all Encompassing Power and Energy. I bow to that through which God creates.

“Gan Puttee is another name for Ganesha, the god of knowledge and writing. He is often represented with a rat at his feet. This meditation is available in the manual Self Knowledge, p.20, through KRI.

Repeating it along with the song as you let the smoke cover your energy.  Feel the blessing of letting things that don't serve you go, and then feeling all that you can be. End at the crown , above the head.

When I am done, I place my crystals out in the moon light. I  like to let my crystals  sit out for a minimum of 24 hours…When you take them back in, they will have the power of your intentions.

Above, is just what I do, but feel free to tweak it and make it your own.  Tap into what feels good for you.

Please note, the energy of the new moon is not just on the actual new moon, so if you can't do it tonight, don't you fret, you have 3 days before and after...

Please note, while it is great to do this with the New Moon, you can really start ANYTIME, so don't make excuses why you can't start TODAY!

Enjoy...Drop me a line and let me know, how it went. I would  love to hear from you!

Please note, while it is great to do this with the Full Moon, you can really start ANYTIME, so don't make excuses why you can't start TODAY!

Now that is officially Fall, I can feel the shift. The shift that asks me to go inward. During the summer I can get lost in all the travel and outward attention that I lose track of some of my inner wants and desires. In some ways I stop using intention with the things I want to create. To be honest, I can get lazy with my deeper work. And as the summer goes on, while I am enjoying my moments, I can also start to feel stuck. With the slight crisp in the air, (at least in New York), I am reminded of the power I have when I am intentional.

We have a little over 3 months left of the year, and I am going to take time with this Full Moon, to get really quiet. Full Moons are wonderful times to focus on releasing, for making space. I want to focus on all that I want to release to make room for all that I want to bring in for the rest of the year.

FULL MOON RITUAL

I'm going to start by creating a sacred space.  For me, that is by my Altar, with all my crystals, which many of you might have already seen on this Instagram Post .  I will light incense and a candle and  play:

Aad Guray Nameh : LISTEN HERE

It is a very powerful mantra used for protection, to gain clarity, and to receive guidance from one’s highest Self. This mantra creates a protective field of energy around the person chanting, attracting abundance to them helping them live out their destiny.

“When you cannot be protected, this mantra shall protect you. When things stop, and won’t move, this makes them move in your direction." Yogi Bhajan

It is a perfect time to slow down, and reflect and see what this year so far has been like. Really sit with it.  Take time with it.  Let the stuff come up.  It is ok,  play thru the year so far,  get angry,  get mad,  get sad…whatever you need. Listen to the song above,  and almost like a meditation, journal out all of your feelings, … The Full moon is when things are illuminated and you can see the lessons of what you have gone through.  If we want to stop repeating our lessons of the past, we have to reflect on them.  Look for the lessons that you’ve learned from the things you want to let go of.

Your crystals and a candle should be out while you are doing all of this.  Then when you are ready, take each crystal and palo santo or sage it  Let the smoke move all around it. While you are saging, tap into the feeling of how good it will be to let these old stories go.  How great would it be to not have to carry that old pain around with you.  Feel yourself letting go of the things that are no longer serving you. When you are done, place your crystals outside, if possible under the moonlight, If not, then by a window….

Once you have completed the journal portion, you can also do the digital healing session if you feel called. I created it as a guided meditation for you to help bring up what you are having trouble with, and then to replace it healing, love. and acceptance.  Think of it as a mini Energy Session.  It is filled with Reiki  + Sound + Guidance + Healing.  Reiki energy healing can move time and space, so you will feel it, even though you are not with me at the time I recored it for you.  I hope you enjoy it and feel some release.

This meditation can be done at any time, not just for the Full Moon.  Healing and releasing is amplified during the full moon. You will have the extra help for the next few days.

When you are done, start palo santo or saging yourself.  Start at your feet and swirl in the smoke of the sage.  Releasing it all.  Possibly saying out loud to yourself:

I am releasing the pain of the past, I am releasing the pain of the past, I am releasing the pain of the past. Repeating it slowly and feeling yourself release as you let the smoke cover your energy.  End at the crown , above the head.

Now, some people will burn the journal entry, some will rip it up and soak it in water, some people flush it, and some people keep it.  Do what feels best for you...I will be burning mine(be very careful if you choose this one)..

Organically, Jamie Moon Ritual .JPG

I like to let my crystals  sit out for a minimum of 24 hours…When you take them back in, they will have the power of you letting go.  They will have released what you put into them.

Above, is just what I do, but feel free to tweak it and make it your own.  Tap into what feels good for you.

Please note, the energy of the full moon is not just on the actual full moon, so if you can't do it tonight, don't you fret, do it when you can. Just make sure you do it and don’t let your subconscious find reasons for you not to.

Enjoy...Drop me a line and let me know, how it went. I would  love to hear from you!

Ridding Your Mind of Self Doubt [Audio]

PLEASE NOTE, WHILE IT IS GREAT TO DO THIS WITH THE FULL MOON, YOU CAN REALLY DO JUST THE MEDITATION OR THE ENTIRE EXERCISE ANYTIME...

When you enrich your mind you can break the slavery of low habits and ego. You can act as part of the entire cosmos and learn to elevate and to let go.
— Yogi Bhajan

As I always say, I am not an astrologist, but I deeply feel the energy of the moon cycles. While my meditation is a daily practice, I feel during the days leading up to, during and  a little after the Full Moon I tend to get even quieter. Really allowing myself to feel and honor what is coming up for me.

*FULL MOON* in Pisces is calling us from her watery depths urging us to take the time to go within and bathe in the sacred waters of our Soul. We need time to be with our Soul to listen and discern all that we are moving through. (Mystic Mama)

As I have said before, the Full Moons, regardless of what sign they are in, have a focus on releasing and endings. They also bring light on the things that we have not been wanting to look at. These are the things that we might not want to acknowledge or accept about ourselves, some refer to this as the shadow. While it can be uncomfortable and painful, we need to allow our dark side to show itself to us.  When we allow it to be seen and felt, we can release ourselves from the power and shame it might hold over us.

The past few weeks, even more so this past week, I have found myself more withdrawn, needing more alone time than I have before. And, to be honest, this summer has been a bit more heady than I had expected. I find myself questioning even more than I have in the past. As I go inward to understand myself, I seem to be filling myself with more questions.  While I receive the things I have wanted for so long, I notice that my inner voice of self doubt has been mumbling louder than it has in the past.

Most people who meet me would say, wow you are so confident, and there is a huge part of me that agrees with that.  I am aware of the things I know, the good I do, and my abilities and feel confident in them. But, as everyone knows, our mind can have conflicting thoughts.  I can feel the confidence and then within moments, I can spin into moments of self doubt. I can get caught up in comparison and self judgement. How do we accept the parts of ourselves that we don't love? How can we work on them, while still honoring them?

My parents have told me that I was born "different" and always questioning. I will never forget the call I had with my father to let him know I was changing my major in college from business to philosophy,  He was silent and then outraged.  What was I going to do, stand on a corner and constantly question life?  While I have had many different versions of myself, it seems I always go back to wanting to understand it all more.

My dedicated meditation practice has helped me really understand myself more. It allows those questions to be more of a curiosity then a downward spiral into darkness and depression. I am so deeply grateful to my practice, and the effect it has on my anxiety and depression. Its' ability to help me move through my bouts of depression has been life changing. Now, I can honor those moments and still turn them around with much less time and pain then I have before.

I have been practicing the meditation below, and it has been really helpful to quiet my mind. When I pay attention to my breath, it reminds me I am alive. As it moves through me, I can feel it nurturing and cleansing my body and my mind. Connecting with it, knowing it is my life force and that it has so many answers in it. It puts me in a state of compassion not only for others, but for myself as well. It also helps to put me in action. When I acknowledge where I am feeling challenged, this meditation has been helpful in receiving clear action steps to move me out of the place of self doubt. Steps that feel in flow and not in force.

I have made the recording below,  and have been listening to it daily , so that I could be reminded of the power of my breath.  As you listen, you will hear me read from a moving lecture from Yogi Bhajan and his eloquent words on the breath of life.

JOURNALING
When you are finished,  pull out your journal and acknowledge the things that came up for you. What are the whispers that you have been trying to ignore? What would happen if you acknowledged them? Are there things that you could do that could lessen their power?

Take your time, feeling and releasing what you are tired of carrying around with you. Acknowledging what you truly want and finding things, no matter how small, that you could do to move past them.  Allow yourself to be guided. You can listen to this playlist

Now it is time  to clear your crystals, which you can do with Palo Santo, Sage, Sound, dirt, water etc...  You can check out my HIGHLIGHT STORY CALLED CLEARING to get quick info on how to clear your crystals.  To get more information check out THIS VIDEO where we talk about crystals, moons and clearing....When you are finished put your crystals either outside or near a window for 24 hours...

Pranayam to Balance Mental Energy I

This praanayam creates this balance and allows the mind to rid itself of doubts.

The radiance and beauty of a person depends on the clarity and shine of his circumvent force field, which in turn depends on the balance of energy in the left (moon) and right (sun) sides of the body.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with an erect spine. Arms are straight with hands on the knees in Gyan Mudra.

Eyes: The eyes are open gazing straight forward.

Time: Continue for 10 – 15 minutes.
