Meditation for Clarity [Audio File]

As many of you you know, I am a big fan of rituals. Taking these moments to get intentional with my life help me to create a life filled with the things I want, instead of repeating old things I don’t. The following meditation is great for the begining of the month, new moons, and birthdays…Basically, it is a great intention setting meditation…

During these times of creation, I make sure to take extra time to get quiet and set some goals for myself. I find that I can get a lot of answers to what I want and what I need to do when I get curious during meditation. The answers i receive during these mediations, lead me to aligned actions. They help me take steps that feel in flow, rather than forced.

I recorded a guided mediation, that I listen to often, (I know it is a little weird that I listen to myself), but I find that it helps put me in the direction I want to go. This particular meditation is working with your future self, the version of you that you want for yourself. We are often trying to manifest a certain life, but our old patterns keep us trapped and repeating our old frustrations and we can feel as if we are never getting anywhere.. You can change that!

We are often acting from our old patterning, and from our habits. When we actively use our imagination to change the pattern, after time, a new habit can be formed. I have found that consistently going into meditation with the version of myself that I know I can be, is one of the quickest ways to create the new pattern and experience the changed me.

I wanted to share it with you and I hope it gives you the clarity and inspiration it gives me. Enjoy!

Clarity is the most important thing. I can compare clarity to pruning in gardening. You know, you need to be clear. If you are not clear, nothing is going to happen. You have to be clear. Then you have to be confident about your vision. And after that, you just have to put a lot of work in.

Get yourself into a quiet, dark place, possibly grab an eye pillow. Light a candle, maybe incense, and have your journal and pen near by. Then when you are ready, press play on the recording below!

The guided meditation, will take you into a deep mediation and has prompts to help you go deep inside and get clear.

I almost didn’t post anything today. To be honest, I have been in a funk. For the last few days I have felt a heaviness inside of myself, a questioning of things, old thoughts peaking their head. It’s been uncomfortable to say the very least. While I am not one to dwell in my feelings (anymore), I know I have to honor them and allow myself to actually feel it. .

If you have been reading any of the astrology reports, then you know that a New Moon in Pisces is a time of deep healing and of feeling emotional. For someone who rarely cries, I have shed more in the past few days then I have in months. And as I sit is that strong discomfort, I can feel the heaviness slowlly lifting.

I have found for me, that when I get curious as to why I am feeling a certain way I am able to unwrap it and learn from it. When the feelings of sadness, doubt or fear come in, I sit with them and lean in to hear what my body and emotions are trying to tell me.

 With this New Moon in Pisces, and Mercury in Retrograde, it is a perfect time to slow down, reflect, go inward.   This month with New Moon in Pisces, we can focus on healing. It is time for us to look inside and see what we have been avoiding, bringing it to the surface, and then letting it go.

RITUAL

So, for this new moon, I invite you to take some time and get quiet. Find an area that feels sacred to you. Get out your journal, incense and cleanser of choice, I will be using Palo Santo.  And, for this Ritual, I will be focusing on my Amethyst and Selenite Crystals, as they both have such healing and clearing powers.

As you listen to the recording above, I will take you through some of the prompts below.

Have your journal, crystals and what ever you are using to clear near by.

 Just sit quiet or lie down and breathe. Go in. Just let it out. Write it out, what has been coming up for you, what have you feel trying to bury inside. Give yourself permission to feel the pain, and know that is ok. Those things that have been whispering in your ear, release them on the paper. 

When you're finished, read it out loud telling yourself that it is ok to feel this way.  You are ready to heal it, and you know that means you have to see it and feel it first. Saying it aloud helps to take away the shame of keeping the pain unspoken and hidden. As you are reading your words, try to step outside yourself and see the lessons that that pain has brought you.  Look for the opportunities of learning and growth. 

When you feel ready, take your palo santo or sage, and start swirling the smoke around yourself and then your crystals. Really feeling the clearing that the smoke creates. Really feel yourself releasing the guilt, the shame and the pain. Then, place your crystals outside or by a window for a minimum of 24 hours.  

As far as the entry, I will be keeping it. I am finding the more I look back and reflect, the more I learn. Do what feels intuitive for you, burn it, throw it down the toilet, keep it etc...

New Moon Ritual [Playlist]

As we begin the New Year, the general energy is to start something, change something, begin again, reset…All the redos, and today we are lucky enough to have the power of the New Moon in Capricorn to help us along.

Often people who are not able to create the life that they want, aren’t really clear on what that life is. When we are trying to direct the ship, we need to have an idea of where the destination might be. It can change and morph, but we move faster and with more flow when we have gotten quiet enough and brave enough to figure out where it is we want to go.

Once we get clear on what it is we want to create, we can start taking steps, even the smallest ones, in order to get closer to it and have more answers. There are many different paths that you can take in order to move towards where you want to go, and the partial solar eclipse will help you find a pathway that could be in more flow towards achieving all that you want.

The energy of Capricorn can help us to stay disciplined and focused. Our big goals can be overwhelming to think about, but if we start breaking it down to smaller steps, things that we can easily start ticking off, we will start to grow our courage muscle. We’ll start to step into our vision even stronger and it can start to feel effortless.

The truth is, you don't have to have any connection to the moon to enjoy these rituals.  At the very least, it is a nice reminder every few weeks to check in on what you want to bring in and what you want to let go of..

NEW MOON RITUAL

I'm start by creating a sacred space.  For me, that is by my Altar, with all my crystals, which many of you might have already seen on this Instagram Post .  I will light incense and a candle and  play my New Moon Playlist

With your crystals, candle and incense lit, listen to the Play List Take your time. sit quiet with your eyes closed listening, taking long deep breaths.  Feel your breath moving through your body. With your eyes closed, allow them to gently roll back and up towards your third eye. Allow yourself to see whatever comes up. Getting quiet. Going in...   Reflect. Think about what has been standing in your way, and see yourself moving it.  Then start focusing on all that you want to bring in. When you already, grab your jouranl and start writing. You can do this is any way that feels comfortable. This can be lists, descriptions, anything that gets you into the feeling of what you want to bring forth.  Get excited about all that is coming. Start to think about the small steps you can use to move forward. If you want to be more guided, you can use the journal exercise I posted awhile back HERE. It will be a different playlist, but a guided journal experience.

The first Mantra (Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo) is for tuning in.  Connecting to your highest self and the line of teachers that have come before you.  Tapping into your divine flow...

When you are done, take out your Palo Santo or Sage and start cleansing yourself and your crystals. I start with myself and the move onto my crystals,  Starting  at my feet and swirling in the smoke.  Releasing it all.  Chanting along with the third song:

Har Har Har Har Gobinde is the mantra of the second and third song.  This Mantra is said to fixe the mind to prosperity and gives power to break down barriers of the past. It converts fear to determination and invokes guidance. (source 3HO)

 "This mantra is to fix the mental to prosperity or power. It will produce money, it will come. Opportunities will come. Richness will come..." - Yogi Bhajan  This isn't just about money, it is whatever it is that you are asking to call in.  
"When you chant this mantra with the breath of life, it's quick, it's purposeful, and it brings in what you need to bring in..." - Yogi Bhajan

Repeating it along with the song as you let the smoke cover your energy.  Feel the blessing of letting things that don't serve you go, and then feeling all that you can be. End at the crown , above the head.

When you’re done, place your crystals out in the moon light. I like to let my crystals  sit out for a minimum of 24 hours…When you take them back in, they will have the power of your intentions. If you can’t put them outside, put them near a window.

Above, is just what I do, but feel free to tweak it and make it your own.  Tap into what feels good for you. 

Please note, the energy of the new moon is not just on the actual new moon, so if you can't do it tonight, don't you fret, you have 3 days before and after...

New Years' 40 Day Meditation to Learn the Lessons of the Past

The beginning of the year is a great time to reflect.  For me, today is about meditating and journaling. The start of the year is the perfect time to start a new habit. Yogi Bhajan says practicing every day for 40 days straight will break any negative habits that block you from the expansion possible through the kriya or mantra.

I am in love with Kirtan Kriya in general, and the Cross-Heart version is extra special. I find it to be incredibly clearing and peaceful.  This meditation works on The Negative Mind,  The Negative Mind is there to protect us, but when it is too loud, it can stop us from moving forward and taking action.  When The Negative Mind is too quiet, we can find ourselves repeating mistakes of the past.  This is a great meditation for bringing The Negative Mind into balance.  You will be able to learn quickly from your past, and see new ways to clean it up and avoid repeating the same lessons.  I am going to add this meditation to my daily meditation for the next 40 days.  I invite you to do this along with me and let me know how it goes!

I will start by being in a sacred space, for me that is by my Altar.  Next, I  will light my candle and my incense and sit quiet for a Moment.  Then I will begin...

I created an audio file that will include tuning in, a quick basic spine series warm up and then 11 minutes of Cross Heart Kirtan Kriya, followed by 3 minutes of the Gong.  There will be music and I will be calling out all the cues.  You can listen to the audio below.

WARM UP-BASIC SPINE

  1. Quick WARM UP of Basic Spine Flex. Come into Easy Pose (a comfortable cross-legged sitting position). Inhale as you lift the chest up high and tilt the pelvis forward. Then exhale, round the lower back, and rock the pelvis back. Remember to lift the chest up high on each inhale and keep the chin level to the ground in both positions.

  2. This is good to lubricate the spine, and move the energy. It adjusts the spine, strengthens the nervous and reproductive systems, and brings the emotions into balance. It is not part of the meditation, but beneficial to warm up the spine.

CROSS-HEART KIRTAN KRIYA

Posture: Sit in easy pose with a straight spine. Cross the forearms below the wrist and place them in front of the chest. Arms should be out slightly and angled a bit up towards the chest.

Eye Focus: Look down to the tip of your nose.

Mantra: Sa - Infinity Ta - Life Na - Death, Transformation Ma - Birth

Process: 

Chant “Sa Ta Na Ma” out loud and press the corresponding fingers to your thumb on each syllable. 

Sa - Press thumb and index finger (brings knowledge) 

Ta - Press thumb and middle finger (brings wisdom and patience) 

Na - Press thumb and ring finger (brings vitality) 

Ma - Press thumb and pinkie finger (brings enhanced communication)

JOURNALING

After you finish the meditation, I invite you to put on THIS PLAYLIST  As you listen, reflect upon 2018. What were some of the lessons you learned from things that might have turned out differently than you had wanted. When were there times that you had wished you could have reacted differently. And continue to go through all the things that no longer serve you from 2018 and then spend the remainder thinking about all that you want to call in to replace those habits, people, thoughts, beliefs, etc…. Get as detailed as you can as you write all of this out. After that, start to think and write about what are some of the things that you could do starting today to move closer to what you want to call in. Get clear and specific. Take your time…

The Last Full Moon Ritual of the Year

Here we are, at the last Full Moon of 2018. This has been a very intense year, to say the least. We are so lucky to end it with the Full Moon in Cancer. The energy of this Full Moon is not only about releasing, but also about allowing to bring in what you truly desire. It is said to be a moon of infinite possibilities.

 As I have said before, I am not an astrologer, but I am very connected to the moon cycles, and the more I pay attention, the more things start to flow.  When you do rituals with the moon cycles, you have the pull of the sky on your side.  This month with Cancer, we have extra help in truly leaving all the things we no longer wish to carry on in 2018 and bringing to us all that we desire in 2019.  It is a time for getting honest, getting clear and taking action.

So, for this full moon, I invite you to take some time and go in. Sitting by your Altar, or a place where you have privacy, get out your crystals, light your candle and incense and begin. I recorded a meditation with a journal prompt to help you focus on what you are ready to release and what you are ready to bring in. You can use the recording and if you want to continue to journal, you can use the full playlist I made HERE

Use  two different pages for what you are releasing(A) and what you are choosing to bring in the new year(B).  

When you're done, look through your A list and write out 3 steps you can take to let go of some of those things before the end of the year. Get detailed. Then look at B list and do the same thing. What are three small steps you could take to bring any of what your wrote forward for 2019. You can keep going with this, every time you take action steps, write down more you can take. You’ll start to notice that small little steps are actually where all the big change actually takes place.

When you are done, take out your crytslas and you clearer of choice and repeat out loud the things that you will let go of and follow it up with what you will put in its’place.

For this entry, I won't burn or though away the journal entry, as I may get inspired to revisit and add more steps to release throughout the year.  It will also be a nice thing to look back on for the next Full Moon...

Meditation for Eliminating Anxiety

As I started to record the meditation for this upcoming Full Moon, it quickly turned into a meditation to help with anxiety.. As I have said before, Full Moons can bring light on things that we are trying to keep hidden. Things we don’t normally see, or even allow ourselves to see. Often around Full Moons, more people will reach out and come see me to help with their anxiety. They notice that the full moon can often make their anxiety feel heightened.

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”

Anxiety often happens because we are either re-experiencing something that happened in the past, or we are fearful about something that might happen in the future. One of the best ways to get ourselves out of the spin, is to get firmly grounded in the present.

I created the below meditation, to get you deeply in the body and able to relax. Allow your mind to stop wandering and instead fully feel your body. Get present in what you are physically feeling in your body.

You can do this meditation anywhere and anytime.

Once we are grounded, we can often look at ourselves, our stories, our worries with a different perspective. Now take out your journal and just start to go in. You can use this PLAYLIST See what is coming up for you.  What is that version of your story are you ready to release?  How can you see your situations that are causing you anxiety differently?  You can use this playlist whenever you want to calm your mind. Allow the mantras to soothe you.

Seeing the Opportunities...New Moon In Cancer [AUDIO]

Never be defined by your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.

With today's New Moon in Cancer, the focus is on pain from the past. It might feel as if old feelings have returned, feelings you thought you had already put to bed.  These memories and past discomforts are not showing up to cause you more pain, but instead to help you to truly heal them.  

As I often post about, our disappointments and sadness are not life sentences, they are opportunities to learn and grow.  This doesn't mean it is always comfortable, but it also isn't something to avoid.  When we lean into it, and truly feel it, we have the ability to really learn from it and release it.  We can recognize that that pain does not have to define us, but instead can truly be an opportunity for growth.

I invite you to look at the your past from a different view. Instead of focusing on the pain that it might have caused, what would it feel like if you paid attention to all the good that came out of that pain? Seeing the strength you had to get through it and the tools you learned.  Noticing the compassion you have for yourself and others because of it. 

Along with the New Moon, we also have a Solar eclipse as well.  "A solar eclipse is just like a regular new moon where the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. However, a solar eclipse is more powerful because the Moon darkens the Sun. Solar eclipse July 2018 is a partial solar eclipse so most of the Sun will still be visible. The new moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new cycle. A new moon influence lasts for four weeks but a solar eclipse usually lasts about six months...The strongest and most important aspect in astrology is Sun conjunct Moon. It means all possibilities are on the table and you can rightly put yourself in the forefront of new plans for the future. It is time to question your old habits and behaviors as you search for new and inventive ways to make progress. This is the ideal time to make a fresh start, so write your new goals down on a sheet of paper. The best time for making a new start is from the solar eclipse to the July 27 Lunar Eclipse. This is a perfect time to go deep.  Really feeling and going in to truly notice what is coming up for you.  What are you trying to avoid? What gifts have you received from it?

For tonight's ritual, we will work with our conscious breath.  If we can control our breath, we can control our mind.  If we can control our mind, we can control our experience on the physical realm.  We are the only living organism that can self regulate our breath. That gives us power over our energy, our mind and our lives.

I have made an Audio file that will walk you through the breath,  It will start by tuning in. I will also be reading excerpts from a talk below that Yogi Bhajan gave on breath.

Please create a sacred space for yourself, light your incense + candle, take out your crystals.  You'll start by playing the below mediation.

When you are finished, you will start to journal, and use this PLAYLIST.  Take out your journal and just start to go in.  See what is coming up for you.  Allow yourself to see that pain that might be present, and then noticing all the gifts it has brought you.  Paying attention to the victories you had made from situations that didn't go how you might had originally hoped. Take your time.  When you have finished, spend some time setting intentions.

Continuing journaling with  THE PLAYLIST , but focus on what you want to call in. Be detailed about it.  Be honest, what is it you want...If you feel called hold your crystals as you say your intentions out loud. When you are finished put your crystals either outside or near a window for 24 hours...Keep looking at this list and update it each New Moon.  Paying attention to all of your victories...

Breathing 3 times a Minute 

Using this breath for meditation will quickly ease your mind, eliminate fear, and help you sink deeper into your body and into the present moment. Use this tool anytime you experience anxiety or depression.

Breathing 3 times a minute will be broken down as 5 seconds to inhale, 5 seconds to hold, 5 seconds to exhale. Be calm with the breath. I explain during the recording.

Breath is life and life is breath. There is no difference between the two.

It is your breath of life. You have to care for it.  We don’t remember that the breath has got any importance for us. We do not know that we are attached to the breath. We think it is automatic and our great grandfather must have signed a lease for it. We worry for everything in this world, but we do not worry on that which gives us life, that is our breath. Moment you don’t breathe, they throw you out. Breath is your everything and you have no time to meditate on that. You meditate on God, but not on the breath, which is the tender charge of God. I have to tell you one thing very clearly. I can only pass on the truth to you. I cannot sit in you and breathe.

Take a conscious breath. Conscious is: take it in as long and deep as you can and take it out as much as you can. That is called conscious breath.” (Conscious breathing is also called “mechanical” breathing.)

What is attractive in you is not you. It is your absolutely radiant body. That is a shining armor around you for protection and attraction both. And (its strength) depends how deeply you consume praana and how many times during the day you try to breathe absolutely mechanically.” 

Your mind stops automatically when you are doing a mechanical breath. Your mind cannot go anywhere. It comes right to the point and it says, ‘Yes, master’. Normally it says, ‘Hey, slave, do what I say’. But once you start rhythmic mechanical breathing, mind shall stop. And if you really do it well for a while every day, you will be shocked to find that the mind will not disobey you for any reason. 

Your mind stops automatically when you are doing a mechanical breath. Your mind cannot go anywhere. It comes right to the point and it says, ‘Yes, master’. Normally it says, ‘Hey, slave, do what I say’. But once you start rhythmic mechanical breathing, mind shall stop. And if you really do it well for a while every day, you will be shocked to find that the mind will not disobey you for any reason.

In yoga never breathe a breath of life automatically, always breathe mechanically. Thirty-one minutes of mechanical breathing can give you better health than you ever had before. It can give you strength beyond understanding. It can give you answers for every question, which you can’t even imagine. Because you live by the breath and you die by the breath. So you must enjoy the breath. And to develop intuition, you must have your breath, the basic elementary power of life, under your control.

Only conscious breathing, praanayam, gives you consciousness. You can breathe automatically. Breathing you can do unconsciously. Why do we do conscious breathing? Are we insane? No. Conscious breathing leaves you with consciousness. Conscious relationship with praana is the conscious relationship with (Divine) Consciousness.

If you can command the breath of life and consciously breathe, you can be in command of your life and environments will relate to you as per your wish.

May we all understand, in the breath of life we can be Infinite and with our fearlessness and character, we can achieve all the riches of the earth to share them with mankind.

Guided Reiki Infused Meditation For Setting Intentions with The Gemini New Moon. [Audio]

The new moon in Gemini is all about communication.  It is not just about the communication we have with others, but what is the conversation you are having with yourself.  This New Moon is asking us to go deep and get clear with our communication. 


Gemini represents both sides of the coin, the twins.  We often are caught in the conflicting sides of the situation, and can find ourselves battling ourselves in our head.  Trying to workout what direction we actually want to take.  Different parts of us want different things and how do we know which part we should listen to? How can we truly manifest when we aren't always sure what we actually want for ourselves?

"Part of this energy is the essence of the trickster. Because of her duality, Gemini illuminates the tricks we play on ourselves and the way our own mind can fool us. As we approach this New Moon, the cosmos is highlighting this energy for us to work with. The mind, just like Gemini, seeks to label, to define and to discern. When we apply this to our feelings, it is not always a perfect match. We may feel something in our heart, or our soul, and the mind may be too quick to label it- misconstruing its meaning and ultimately tricking us into believing it is something it is not. Usually these “tricks” are based on conditioned patterns learned long ago, or preconceived notions about who we are supposed to be and what we are supposed to feel. (Spirit Daughter

This New Moon, ask yourself in what ways does your mind trick you? Maybe it’s by labeling your tears with sadness when they are out of gratitude, or perhaps it tells you that you’re not good enough when you feel excited about a new venture. There are many ways the mind tricks, recognize them and with the help of this New Moon start a new pattern.The New Moon in Gemini is a perfect time to get set goals and start with using your communication skills. So, for this New Moon, we want to open up a conversation with our subconscious, allowing answers to unfold.  How do we do that? Well, I created a guided meditation for you to help bring answers to the surface. Think of it as a mini Energy Session.  It is filled with Reiki  + Sound + Guidance + Healing.  Reiki energy healing can move time and space, so you will feel it, even though you are not with me at the time I recored it for you. 

Please create a sacred space for yourself, light your incense + candle, take out your crystals.  You'll start by playing the below guided mediation.

When you are finished, you will start to journal, and use this PLAYLIST.  Take out your journal and just start to go in.  See what is coming up for you.  Let yourself free flow, allow your subconscious  to just allow itself to be heard.  Listen for whatever answers might be there.  Do not judge yourself, just allow. 

About the mantra for the playlist: "There are several practices in Kundalini yoga that help clear the subconscious mind. But if you want to add a mantra to your regimen and take out the trash while you chant, there is a mantra for that.“Gobinday Mukanday”, also called the Guru Gaitri mantra, is a powerful tool to clear the subconscious mind and according to Yogi Bhajan, master of Kundalini yoga, clear deep-seated blocks.  He also said this mantra could balance the hemispheres of the brain and bring patience and compassion to the listener. (Spirit Voyage)

The words are easy enough to pick up and refer to different aspects of the Divine.

Sustainer, Liberator, Enlightener, Infinite, Destroyer, Creator, Nameless, Desireless

Continuing journaling with  THE PLAYLIST , but focus on what you want to call in. Be detailed about it.  Be honest, what is it you want...If you feel called hold your crystals as you say your intentions out loud. When you are finished put your crystals either outside or near a window for 24 hours...Keep looking at this list and update it each New Moon.  Paying attention to all of your victories...

The energy of the Full Moon in Scorpio is one of the most intense, and transforming Full Moons of the year. Scorpio is the sign of death and rebirth.  In order to create the new, we have to acknowledge what needs to die.  This Scorpio Full moon has a huge potential for incredible transformation.

The Scorpio Full Moon, brings awareness to the things that we often don't want to see. The things about ourselves that we try to keep hidden. It can be uncomfortable. On the positive side of that, the true healing and unblocking comes once we have acknowledged what we have been trying to avoid. So really go deep in looking for what you have been hiding, avoiding.  

Because of the incredible healing that can occur during this time, I created a guided meditation for you to help bring up what you are having trouble with, and then to replace it healing, love. and acceptance.  Think of it as a mini Energy Session.  It is filled with Reiki  + Sound + Guidance + Healing.  Reiki energy healing can move time and space, so you will feel it, even though you are not with me at the time I recored it for you.

It is the perfect energy for what this Full Moon is bringing up. 

Now take out your journal and just start to go in.  See what is coming up for you.  What is it that you want to release?  What is is that you won't acknowledge about yourself?   What is it that you need to let go of in order to move closer to being comfortable being you.? How would it feel knowing that all you need to be is YOU. 

Once you have completed the journal portion, you are ready for the digital healing session.  I hope you enjoy it and feel some release.
