3 Kundalini Meditations I Love [Audio Files + Playlists Included]

I am often asked what is the best Kundalini meditation to start with and so I thought I would take the time to combine my 3 of my favorites.

I suggest you try all 3, and then pick 1 or more and continue on for 40 days. Don’t Skip a day. I feel it is the most powerful to do it first thing in the morning, but do it when it is best for YOU. I just say, complete it before midnight each day.

Each audio file will lead you through the instructions, tune you in and call you out. So don’t worry about picking up all the instructions in the writings. The written meditations and pictures are all from 3ho.org and KRI

Kundalini Yoga Meditation: Dealing with Your Own Mind

Originally taught by Yogi Bhajan on January 9, 1998

Posture:Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Breath: Close off your right nostril with your right thumb and inhale deeply through your left nostril. Exhale completely through your mouth.

Time: Continue for 6 minutes.

To End: Inhale deeply, interlace your fingers and stretch them over your head palms up. Hold your breath for 10-15 seconds while you stretch your spine upward. Exhale and relax.

Mind is a link between Infinity and you. When the soul got the body, the soul asked God, 'What is my link with you, my Lord?' And God said, 'Mind.'

Mind can take you into any thought, beyond thought, and unto Infinity. Mind can take you into any dungeon, any pit, and any negativity. Mind has no limit in its own self. But mind is your servant. If the mind becomes your master, you don't have a chance. It is very essential in yoga that we know our own mind.

Meditation for Invoking the Wealth of The Universe: Sobagh Kriya

This was the first Kundalini Meditation I taught and it was to Gabby Bernstein’s Level 2 Coaching students. They all loved it and still write to me telling me how much they enjoyed it and how much it changed their relationship with prosperity!

Then a 3 minute WARM UP of cat cow going as fast as you can.  This is good to lubricate the spine, and move the energy.  It adjusts the spine, strengthens the nervous and reproductive systems, and brings the emotions into balance. It also helps to move energy up the spine to the upper Chakras to enhance meditation. It is one of the most common things to do during morning mediation, to wake up your spine and your Kundalini energy, for vitality all day long.


MANTRA Mentally Inhale SAT Exhale NAM at the end, inhale hold stretching the chest up, exhale, round the back. Go to child's pose, far head and arms on the mat, hands in prayer pose stretched above the head

 

EYES Closed, focusing on the brow pint, (Third eye)

The cat cow is not part of the mediation, but a nice way to warm up. I will also call out when it is time to change.  Please feel free to email with any questions.

SOBAGH KRIYA MEDITATION

This is a five-part kriya. Each part must be practiced for an equal amount of time, either 3 minutes or 11 minutes. Do not exceed 11 minutes. Only Meditation #1 can be practiced on its own, separately from the other exercises. Practice this for 40 days and do not miss a day.

Meditation #1 (3 Minutes)

Mantra: Har (out loud)

Movement: Alternate hitting the sides of hands together at the level of the heart center. Thumbs cross below the hands, with the right thumb under the left.) 

 

Eyes: should be nine-tenths dosed, focusing on the tip of the nose.

REMEMBER THIS IS THE ONLY ONE YOU CAN DO ALONE

Mantra: Har (mentally)

Movement: Stretch your arms up sixty degrees. Open your fingers, spreading them widely. The fingers have to be totally hard, cross your arms alternating right over left and then left over right, still keeping the fingers stretched open.

MANTRA Now this is an English mantra. The word "God" has three letters: "G," which generates; "O," which organizes; and "D," which delivers and destroys. When "God" is chanted from here (points to his navel point), then God can hear

MOVEMENT Watch. You know this id, the thumb? Put them both in your fists and press as hard as you can, like you are going to squeeze the blood out of them. Press, press, press hard. Arms at sixty degrees. Move the arms in small backward circles. Press the id. Press, press, press hard. With each circle you make of your arms chant "God." Chant "God" powerfully from the navel.

Meditation #4 (3 Minutes)

MANTRA Har Haray Haree, Wahe Guru. The mantra is a sound current through the tongue and upper palate. Har Haray Haree, Wahe Guru (Wahe is pronounced  "wa-hay"). Continue chanting in a low monotone.

CHANT 1 MINUTE, WHISPER 1 MINUTE WHISTLE 1 MINUTE

MOVEMENT The right hand goes up and the left hand goes down; palms facing the body; hand cross each other.)  Right hand closer to your body.

Meditation #5 (3 Minutes)

NO MANTRA

MOVEMENT AND BREATH Put your arms at shoulder level, left hand under, right over. Breathe long and deep. Don't let the hands fall. They should be parallel to the ground; that' the law. Keep your spine straight; sit correctly. Do nothing; just breathe one breath a minute: 20 seconds to inhale, 20 seconds to hold, 20 seconds to exhale. If you can’t do 20, 20, 20, then do 10, 10 10 or 5, 5 5.

This is a complete set. It is called Sobagh Kriya.

KIRTAN KRIYA (Sa Ta Na Ma Meditation)

This is often what I suggest to most people to start with. You can feel the difference in your nervous system immediately! I made an audile file that includes calling you in, and taking you out,  You will follow along with the song, saying it out loud at first, then whisper, then silent, then whisper, then out loud.  

This meditation brings a total mental balance to the individual psyche. Vibrating on each fingertip alternates the electrical polarities. The index and ring fingers are electrically negative, relative to the other fingers. This causes a balance in the electromagnetic projection of the aura. Practicing this meditation is both a science and an art. It is an art in the way it molds consciousness and in the refinement of sensation and insight it produces. It is a science in the tested certainty of the results each technique produces.


Posture: Sit straight in Easy Pose.

Eyes: Meditate at the Brow Point.

Mantra: Produce the five primal sounds (panj shabd): S, T, N, M, A, in the original word form:

SAA: Infinity, cosmos, beginning

TAA: Life, existence

NAA: Death, change, transformation

MAA: Rebirth

Each repetition of the entire mantra takes 3 to 4 seconds. This is the cycle of Creation. From the Infinite comes life and individual existence. From life comes death or change. From death comes the rebirth of consciousnes to the joy of the Infinite through which compassion leads back to life.

Mudra: This mantra can be done in many different mudras. Most common is to begin in Gyan Mudra. The elbows are straight while chanting, and the mudra changes as each fingertip touches in turn the tip of the thumb with firm pressure.

On SAA, touch the first (Jupiter) finger.

On TAA, touch the second (Saturn) finger.

On NAA, touch the third (Sun) finger.

On MAA, touch the fourth (Mercury) finger.

Chant in three languages of consicousness:

Human: normal or loud voice (the world)

Lovers: strong whisper (longing to belong)

Divine: mentally; silent (Infinity)

To End: Follow with one 1 minute of stretching the arms over your head and spreading the fingers wide, shaking them out, circulating the energy, inhaling and exhaling 3 times. Relax.

Comments: Each time the mudra is closed by joining the thumb with a finger, the ego “seals” the effect of that mudra in the consciousness. The effects are as follows:

1st finger: Gyan Mudra Knowledge

2nd finger: Shuni Mudra Wisdom, intelligence, patience

3rd finger: Surya Mudra Vitality, energy of life

4th finger: Buddhi Mudra Ability to communicate

Meditation for Eliminating Anxiety

As I started to record the meditation for this upcoming Full Moon, it quickly turned into a meditation to help with anxiety.. As I have said before, Full Moons can bring light on things that we are trying to keep hidden. Things we don’t normally see, or even allow ourselves to see. Often around Full Moons, more people will reach out and come see me to help with their anxiety. They notice that the full moon can often make their anxiety feel heightened.

Anxiety often happens because we are either re-experiencing something that happened in the past, or we are fearful about something that might happen in the future. One of the best ways to get ourselves out of the spin, is to get firmly grounded in the present.

I created the below meditation, to get you deeply in the body and able to relax. Allow your mind to stop wandering and instead fully feel your body. Get present in what you are physically feeling in your body.

You can do this meditation anywhere and anytime.

Once we are grounded, we can often look at ourselves, our stories, our worries with a different perspective. Now take out your journal and just start to go in. You can use this PLAYLIST See what is coming up for you.  What is that version of your story are you ready to release?  How can you see your situations that are causing you anxiety differently?  You can use this playlist whenever you want to calm your mind. Allow the mantras to soothe you.

Ridding Your Mind of Self Doubt [Audio]

As I always say, I am not an astrologist, but I deeply feel the energy of the moon cycles. While my meditation is a daily practice, I feel during the days leading up to, during and  a little after the Full Moon I tend to get even quieter. Really allowing myself to feel and honor what is coming up for me. 

*FULL MOON* in Pisces is calling us from her watery depths urging us to take the time to go within and bathe in the sacred waters of our Soul. We need time to be with our Soul to listen and discern all that we are moving through. (Mystic Mama)

As I have said before, the Full Moons, regardless of what sign they are in, have a focus on releasing and endings. They also bring light on the things that we have not been wanting to look at. These are the things that we might not want to acknowledge or accept about ourselves, some refer to this as the shadow. While it can be uncomfortable and painful, we need to allow our dark side to show itself to us.  When we allow it to be seen and felt, we can release ourselves from the power and shame it might hold over us.  

The past few weeks, even more so this past week, I have found myself more withdrawn, needing more alone time than I have before. And, to be honest, this summer has been a bit more heady than I had expected. I find myself questioning even more than I have in the past. As I go inward to understand myself, I seem to be filling myself with more questions.  While I receive the things I have wanted for so long, I notice that my inner voice of self doubt has been mumbling louder than it has in the past.

Most people who meet me would say, wow you are so confident, and there is a huge part of me that agrees with that.  I am aware of the things I know, the good I do, and my abilities and feel confident in them. But, as everyone knows, our mind can have conflicting thoughts.  I can feel the confidence and then within moments, I can spin into moments of self doubt. I can get caught up in comparison and self judgement. How do we accept the parts of ourselves that we don't love? How can we work on them, while still honoring them?  

My parents have told me that I was born "different" and always questioning. I will never forget the call I had with my father to let him know I was changing my major in college from business to philosophy,  He was silent and then outraged.  What was I going to do, stand on a corner and constantly question life?  While I have had many different versions of myself, it seems I always go back to wanting to understand it all more. 

My dedicated meditation practice has helped me really understand myself more. It allows those questions to be more of a curiosity then a downward spiral into darkness and depression. I am so deeply grateful to my practice, and the effect it has on my anxiety and depression. Its' ability to help me move through my bouts of depression has been life changing. Now, I can honor those moments and still turn them around with much less time and pain then I have before.  

I have been practicing the meditation below, and it has been really helpful to quiet my mind. When I pay attention to my breath, it reminds me I am alive. As it moves through me, I can feel it nurturing and cleansing my body and my mind. Connecting with it, knowing it is my life force and that it has so many answers in it. It puts me in a state of compassion not only for others, but for myself as well. It also helps to put me in action. When I acknowledge where I am feeling challenged, this meditation has been helpful in receiving clear action steps to move me out of the place of self doubt. Steps that feel in flow and not in force.

I have made the recording below,  and have been listening to it daily , so that I could be reminded of the power of my breath.  As you listen, you will hear me read from a moving lecture from Yogi Bhajan and his eloquent words on the breath of life.  

JOURNALING
When you are finished,  pull out your journal and acknowledge the things that came up for you. What are the whispers that you have been trying to ignore? What would happen if you acknowledged them? Are there things that you could do that could lessen their power?

Take your time, feeling and releasing what you are tired of carrying around with you. Acknowledging what you truly want and finding things, no matter how small, that you could do to move past them.  Allow yourself to be guided. You can listen to this playlist

Pranayam to Balance Mental Energy I

This praanayam creates this balance and allows the mind to rid itself of doubts.

The radiance and beauty of a person depends on the clarity and shine of his circumvent force field, which in turn depends on the balance of energy in the left (moon) and right (sun) sides of the body.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with an erect spine. Arms are straight with hands on the knees in Gyan Mudra.

Eyes: The eyes are open gazing straight forward.

Breath: Inhale for 5 seconds. Suspend the breath for 10 seconds and then exhale for 5 seconds.

Begin with this rhythm and gradually increase the breathing time to inhaling 10 seconds, holding 15 seconds, and exhaling 10 seconds.

Meditate on the inflow and outflow of breath. It is the divine spark of life.

Time: Continue for 10 – 15 minutes.

Taping Into Your Intuition [Audio]

As I always say, I am not an astrologist, but I deeply feel the energy of the moon cycles.  And, lets be honest, you have most likely already started to feel the intensity of our planetary party going on.   To say this Lunar eclipse is intense, would be putting it mildly.  The Lunar eclipse and all the planets in retrograde have brought a lot of fear, so what is it really about?  I know there is another way to look at it...

"Eclipses are magical moments where something slips through an energy portal to both destroy and create. It’s a path opener. Eclipses are known to bring things to a head; something is released, especially at a total lunar eclipse. It’s time to bring things sleeping into the light.

The energies during the past few months have been intense and chaotic, and it feels like things are getting more intense, very much like the stage in labor called transition – the contractions keep coming without stop. It’s an intense time, but it presages birth. Just as it is a dying time, it is also a birthing time."  Cathy Pagano 

"There are many energetic interactions here, but the big message is SLOW DOWN. We are being given a unique opportunity to shift our vibration. The catch is that the cosmos insists, through these retrogrades, that we downshift, sit still and be 100 percent present with the energy. 

Retrogrades of any kind spin the energy inward. They give us deeper access to the parts of our personality governed by the planet traveling backward. Mercury rules our communication, our systems and our technology. Mercury retrograde tends to break things that need re-alignment. How do we achieve this re-alignment? Don't you feel a little better already? No need for the doomsday fear...So, with that in mind, let's focus on the things that we are ready to let die so that something can be reborn.  This is not just a limiting belief, but maybe something or someone that you have allowed to remain in your life that you know isn't allowing you the space to let in what you truly desire...You need to get really honest with yourself.  Get quiet.  Go in and acknowledge what you need to end in order for something else to begin.  Pay attention.  Practice this for the next few days, taping into your intuition so that you can truly know what it is you want and what it is your doing because of fear or to fit in.  

Because we are dealing with a lunar eclipse, we want to tap into our lunar side.  The side that is ruled by intuition, that is calming, creative.  We will use the same meditation we did for the last Full Moon, as it is Left Nostril breathing, which stimulates your parasympathetic body, as well as your intuition. I will be doing this breath for the rest of the week.  Allowing my intuition to get louder.  

The moon in Aquarius is also a time for community, and collective consciousness. Where are the places in your life where you can help others and not just yourself. Focus on making changes that could help the world around you. I suggest you gather with some friends and do the below meditation together, or find a group event that you can attend. The energy of the Full Moon, especially this one, is amplified with group meditation and vibration. 

There is also a journaling exercise in the recording.  If you finish journaling and feel called you can chant along and do the mudras for the Antar Naad Mudra for the Full Moon . Watch the 3 minute video. It will show you how to TUNE IN and  the mudra. This is a meditation you only foo on the Full Moon.

When you are finished,  pull out your journal and acknowledge the things that came up for you.  Writing out and saying out loud that you are ready to release each thing that came up. Take your time, feeling and releasing what you are tired of carrying around with you. Acknowledging what you truly want, and not what you think others want.  Get clear.

Now you will ask me if a mind can be controlled. Yes. Not only can your mind be controlled, your life can be controlled. A situation can be controlled. Sometimes you get into very, very, very ugly situations. If you have the practice to switch your breath to the left nostril, you will get out of it in two seconds. The moment you start breathing with your left nostril, your elementary self will come into play. The moment your elementary self comes into play, your totality of the mind becomes one unit to confirm and it puts out the radiance shield of your body and you will immediately become very pleasant and positive rather than angry and reactive.

Some people train themselves to breathe through any nostril they choose. But many of you have not practiced that, and therefore you use your hand to close your right nostril. Long, deep breathing through the left nostril is good for the heart and good for the health. It will calm you down.

Normally after you have done this exercise for two minutes you will start feeling bored. Negative mind is in action: 'What are you doing this for? This is a babyish thing. We could have done something better.' In any exercise which touches the mind, a person starts getting upset in exactly two and half minutes. That's the rule of thumb. The mind doesn't want to be caught. It wants to swing. But there are some people like us who feel that it's hard work to control the mind, and once we control the mind, then we can control the whole world.

Dealing With Your Own Mind [Full Moon in Capricorn Audio]

The Full Moon in Capricorn is about tuning into yourself.  Checking in on what is your internal world versus the outside world. In what ways are you not standing up for who you are in order to please other people? It is important to get really quiet so that you can hear what the real YOU wants and needs.  It is about getting clear.

This Full Moon in Capricorn  also marks the end of the first part of the year.  It is a time to look back to what intentions you set for yourself at the beginning of the year.  Are you doing the work? Are you being honest with yourself? Are you being true to YOU?

“The Full Moon in Capricorn importance of  honoring process rather than seeking after premature outcomes. It cautions patience and rewards those who respect the natural order which necessitates firm foundations before we reach for the sky! We may have to let go of unrealistic notions at this moon, recognising that our previous timetable for an important project may be flawed

However this full moon manifests in your life, take heart and don’t give up hope. This isn’t an unsatisfactory end, but a staging post on a longer and altogether more significant journey. There is much wisdom available in the light of this Moon. Tonight we will do a Kundalini Meditation for Dealing with Your Own Mind. The instructions are below + I have recorded an Audio File for you to follow along with as well.  

There is also a journaling exercise in the recording.  If you finish journaling and feel called you can chant along and do the mudras for the Antar Naad Mudra for the Full Moon . Follow THIS LINK and watch the 3 minute video to see the mudra..

When you are finished,  pull out your journal and acknowledge the things that came up for you.  Writing out and saying out loud that you are ready to release each thing that came up. Take your time, feeling and releasing what you are tired of carrying around with you. Acknowledging what you truly want, and not what you think others want.  Get clear.

 Now it is time  to clear your crystals, which you can do with Palo Santo, Sage, Sound, dirt, water etc... To get more information check out THIS VIDEO where we talk about crystals, moons and clearing....When you are finished put your crystals either outside or near a window for 24 hours...

Kundalini Yoga Meditation: Dealing with Your Own Mind

Posture:Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Breath: Close off your right nostril with your right thumb and inhale deeply through your left nostril. Exhale completely through your mouth.

Time: Continue for 6 minutes.

To End: Inhale deeply, interlace your fingers and stretch them over your head palms up. Hold your breath for 10-15 seconds while you stretch your spine upward. Exhale and relax.

Mind is a link between Infinity and you. When the soul got the body, the soul asked God, 'What is my link with you, my Lord?' And God said, 'Mind.'

Mind can take you into any thought, beyond thought, and unto Infinity. Mind can take you into any dungeon, any pit, and any negativity. Mind has no limit in its own self. But mind is your servant. If the mind becomes your master, you don't have a chance. It is very essential in yoga that we know our own mind.

Now you will ask me if a mind can be controlled. Yes. Not only can your mind be controlled, your life can be controlled. A situation can be controlled. Sometimes you get into very, very, very ugly situations. If you have the practice to switch your breath to the left nostril, you will get out of it in two seconds. The moment you start breathing with your left nostril, your elementary self will come into play. The moment your elementary self comes into play, your totality of the mind becomes one unit to confirm and it puts out the radiance shield of your body and you will immediately become very pleasant and positive rather than angry and reactive.

Some people train themselves to breathe through any nostril they choose. But many of you have not practiced that, and therefore you use your hand to close your right nostril. Long, deep breathing through the left nostril is good for the heart and good for the health. It will calm you down.

Normally after you have done this exercise for two minutes you will start feeling bored. Negative mind is in action: 'What are you doing this for? This is a babyish thing. We could have done something better.' In any exercise which touches the mind, a person starts getting upset in exactly two and half minutes. That's the rule of thumb. The mind doesn't want to be caught. It wants to swing. But there are some people like us who feel that it's hard work to control the mind, and once we control the mind, then we can control the whole world.

Guided Reiki Infused Meditation For Setting Intentions with The Gemini New Moon. [Audio]

*While the energy is amplified during the New Moon, please note this guided meditation can be done at any time.  

The new moon in Gemini is all about communication.  It is not just about the communication we have with others, but what is the conversation you are having with yourself.  This New Moon is asking us to go deep and get clear with our communication. 


Gemini represents both sides of the coin, the twins.  We often are caught in the conflicting sides of the situation, and can find ourselves battling ourselves in our head.  Trying to workout what direction we actually want to take.  Different parts of us want different things and how do we know which part we should listen to? How can we truly manifest when we aren't always sure what we actually want for ourselves?

"Part of this energy is the essence of the trickster. Because of her duality, Gemini illuminates the tricks we play on ourselves and the way our own mind can fool us. As we approach this New Moon, the cosmos is highlighting this energy for us to work with. The mind, just like Gemini, seeks to label, to define and to discern. When we apply this to our feelings, it is not always a perfect match. We may feel something in our heart, or our soul, and the mind may be too quick to label it- misconstruing its meaning and ultimately tricking us into believing it is something it is not. Usually these “tricks” are based on conditioned patterns learned long ago, or preconceived notions about who we are supposed to be and what we are supposed to feel. (Spirit Daughter

This New Moon, ask yourself in what ways does your mind trick you? Maybe it’s by labeling your tears with sadness when they are out of gratitude, or perhaps it tells you that you’re not good enough when you feel excited about a new venture. There are many ways the mind tricks, recognize them and with the help of this New Moon start a new pattern.The New Moon in Gemini is a perfect time to get set goals and start with using your communication skills. So, for this New Moon, we want to open up a conversation with our subconscious, allowing answers to unfold.  How do we do that? Well, I created a guided meditation for you to help bring answers to the surface. Think of it as a mini Energy Session.  It is filled with Reiki  + Sound + Guidance + Healing.  Reiki energy healing can move time and space, so you will feel it, even though you are not with me at the time I recored it for you. 

Please create a sacred space for yourself, light your incense + candle, take out your crystals.  You'll start by playing the below guided mediation.

When you are finished, you will start to journal, and use this PLAYLIST.  Take out your journal and just start to go in.  See what is coming up for you.  Let yourself free flow, allow your subconscious  to just allow itself to be heard.  Listen for whatever answers might be there.  Do not judge yourself, just allow. 

About the mantra for the playlist: "There are several practices in Kundalini yoga that help clear the subconscious mind. But if you want to add a mantra to your regimen and take out the trash while you chant, there is a mantra for that.“Gobinday Mukanday”, also called the Guru Gaitri mantra, is a powerful tool to clear the subconscious mind and according to Yogi Bhajan, master of Kundalini yoga, clear deep-seated blocks.  He also said this mantra could balance the hemispheres of the brain and bring patience and compassion to the listener. (Spirit Voyage)

The words are easy enough to pick up and refer to different aspects of the Divine.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is going to bring light on a lot of the things you have been trying to hide.  There are things your inner voice has been whispering that you have been trying to ignore. Instead of getting unraveled, see it as a blessing. These are the things that we need bring light on so that we can actually let them go.  They are what is holding us back from what we actually desire. This is where your freedom lies...

The full moon acts like a magnet, affecting the tides of the ocean.  The moon, like us, is made of about 85 % water and so we too are affected by the energies of the moon.  It will pull at things that we have been trying to keep buried.  We will have more access to the subconscious mind to release the past. The light is an opportunity to see what needs to be released.  You have to acknowledge it in order to let it go.

Stress Relief and Clearing the Emotions of the Past

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine.

Mudra: Place the hands at the center of the chest with the tips of the thumbs touching each other and each of the fingers touching the corresponding fingers on the opposite hand. Leave space between the palms. The fingertips are pointing upward.

Eye Focus: Look at the tip of the nose.

Breath: Breathe 4 times per minute: inhale 5 seconds, hold 5 seconds, exhale 5 seconds.

Time: Continue for 11 minutes or until you feel relief from the stress. (Adapted from KRI)

Three Minutes to Calm- with [Audio]

The breathe is one of the most powerful tools for regulating how we feel and how we think.  We are the only living creatures that have the ability to self regulate it.  We can use the breath the calm us down, as well as invigorate our energy.  The three-part breath is one of the easiest ways to create a state of calm. Using this breath for meditation will quickly ease your mind, eliminate fear, and help you sink deeper into your body and into the present moment. Use this tool anytime you experience anxiety or depression.

Lie on your back or sit in a comfortable seated position, eyes closed, with  one hand on your belly and the other on your heart chakra. If that doesn't feel comfortable, find a way that does, maybe hands on the knees, or sitting on your knees; whatever feels comfortable for you.  With your eyes gently closed, look up towards your third eye. Pay attention to the breath in the body, the sound of the gong playing, and what you see behind your closed lids.

As the gong sounds, you will start to breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.  After a few rounds,  move into the three-part breath sequence (explained below). 



The three-part breath is a one-minute cycle. 20 seconds to inhale, 20 seconds to hold, 20 seconds to exhale.  Most people can not do the 20 second count.  We will work with a count a 5.  The important part is that each part is equal, 3-3-3, 5-5-5, 10-10-10 etc...Go at a number that feels good to you. Be gentle with yourself.  Be calm with the breath. Don’t force it.
